I have a NOS one in the factory packing, but I'm thinking you want an upgrade.

If you want to stick something in that hole, it will most likely have to be an 8" with custom bracket or drilled into the deck, and you will need an amp back there with RCA line out converter tapped into rear speakers. Might as well do a 10 or 12 inch in a proper box.

I don't see you getting much improvement in going with a better driver, in the same box, with the same amp, if you don't also upgrade the signal source and Amp to support it. There are ways of fitting a better sounding system into the available space, but it all has to work together.
Better speakers are like better tires, they are the last thing in line, but without more power (amp) and cleaner signal (head unit) you don't get them up to their potential. It doesn't really make that much difference. I took out the factory box, and replaced it with a 12" sub in a sealed enclosure that occupies the same space. It sounds a great deal better, but also due to the better head unit that gives it better sound, and enough amp to drive it.

I do not wish to build a system for the DTR IF I find a silver car, it's going bye bye I don't feel like all the hassle of doing a system, I rarely jam out, and on the future silver, I highly doubt I'll build a system in it
I'll spend the money on a Chevy motor with a 80mm turbo
The previous owner blew out all 3 rear speakers, they rattle like **** and I just want a replacement
Neil. Get on it sukka

There is a foam piece if I recall inside the sub assembly which rattles. This can be removed.

In the past some members were putting in an Infinity Baselink... Was self contained with a 200 W amp, iirc. Some put it in the same hole with a little modifications. Others put it in the wheelwell. Don't know if it's made anymore.
Reread your op. 6.5" is correct.

Has anyone actually tested the power output of the factory amp? I have a hard time believing the factory sub is running at 100 watts.
I found a speaker on Parts Express (https://www.parts-express.com/6-1-2-poly-cone-midbass-woofer-4-ohm--299-609) that I'm fairly certain will fit the stock enclosure. However, it's only rated for 60 watts peak. If the factory amp is really producing 100 watts, it'd probably burn the speaker out quickly.
I also found this speaker that's rated for 100 watts (https://www.parts-express.com/pyramid-w64-6-1-2-pro-plus-midbass-woofer--290-025), but I'm not 100% certain it will fit given the size of the magnet.

You'll probably find that the magnet on any sub you find will not fit in the enclosure as it was engineered around the pathetic POS OEM sub dimensions.
Very minor modifications will make a nice sub fit.
The one Pops recommended sounds GREAT.

I found a replacement that fits with minimum modifactions: Goldwood GW-6024 (https://www.parts-express.com/goldwood-gw-6024-6-1-2-butyl-surround-woofer-4-ohm--290-351). The bolt holes on the speakers did not line up so I had widen them using a Dremel and a grinding stone attachment.
It's not great, but it sounds better than no subwoofer at all. Maybe it would sound better with a low pass filter since the range is 29 to 4,800 Hz.
