Hi Guys

Am I the only one the search feature isn't working for?

I haven't been able to search for a couple weeks now, no matter what I search for it comes up with no search results, I cannot even search for myself.

Regards

Dereck

Do a google search. Narrow your search down to only this site by the following

Type say 4 inch megs is your item your interested in, then put site:www.mercurymarauder.net

Your search is now ONLY here

Someone please make this a sticky

The search feature works here if you remember a lot of perimeters, thread title and especially if you remember who started the thread. Since most of us can't remember enough about what we want to find search doesn't work well. Google is a decent alternative.

Have you tried Advanced Search?

Hi MM03MOK

Yep!

I use the quick search, it finds no results and redirects me to the advanced search, I then use the advanced search and it too finds no results.

Advanced Search works OK if you know who started the thread, otherwise it's as useless as regular search.

Give me an example, please. Not sure if there's any way to manipulate the search on the back end.

When I search for cooling mod fittings, it's over halfway down the search page.
The title of my thread is: Cooling mod fittings.
Lol

It hasn't been working for me either. Most of the time I have been getting zero results.

searched for

Steering wheel

Steering+wheel

air bag

air+bag

steering wheel air bag

got nothing back

I just tried steering wheel and steering+wheel and got two results. 14 years of content and I get two results, something not working correctly

Doesn't work on my Samsung tablet, I usually resort to a Google search.

If Zack types in the exact thread title he is looking for why do a dozen non exact titles show up before the exact title?

I gave up on the search button years ago. Google
"________________" site:mercurymarauder.net is the only way to get the best results as mentioned by Bryguy.

Yes, there is something wrong with 'Search". Not working for me either.

Every Search comes back with this .....

The following errors occurred with your search:
Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

Search from either Google or your browser - "mercurymarauder.net (what you are searching for)".

Search sucks here. Fortunately, members step in and help.

I can't even find stuff in here using google. Is indexing of the site turned off perhaps? Are old posts archived or somehow hidden away from search engines?

It really is a mess.

the vbulletin search has some restrictions

you cant search for terms less than 3 characters

Ive set the server to reindex the forum

that process will take some time but its already increasing search results
