I wish to replace my Alpine single din head unit. What is the max size double din unit I can mount? Screen size and model number would be nice.

I searched the Interior/Electrical forum, but I did not find my answer. Maybe this thread will help others.

The Alpine unit (http://alpine-usa.com/product/view/ine-w967hd/) I am interested in will help me control my JRi coilovers via JRide Smart Phone Adjustable Shock System (http://www.jrishocks.com/shop/street/jride-smart-phone-adjustable-shock-system/).

Any 2X DIN should fit, which that Alpine is.. I have a Kenwood 5120 in mine.

Thank you. Two years ago, I started out asking advice of others followed by members here. Now, I ask members and seldom need additional counsel.

Yep double din along with a Metra #95-5817 install kit.

All double din units will about the same size, I believe the biggest screen size is 7".

What are your requirements for the new headunit?

Such an easier traveled road! But it never hurts to hear other opinions.

Three must haves:
1. At this time, the JRi Ride Control System only supports iPad/iPhone; no Android. So, the head unit must support use of Apple products (not a challenge for most any head unit.
2. I need video support to see the 4-way adjustable UI interface to select ride style.
3. Lastly, I need a head unit with a Bluetooth BR/EDR controller using Host to Controller Interface or HCI (also, not a challenge for any head units).

I do not need Bluetooth 4.0 or 5.0 (coming soon for increased bandwidth/Internet applications). Most Bluetooth controller circuitry supports both BR/EDR and LE, both have HCI.

That's some fancy new stuff. I remember now seeing something about your new adjustable set-up. For me, bluetooth was just so I could get phone calls on the stereo without having to hold my phone...
