Guys, does this sunroof look different from other Marauders? Am I missing something?

I own two 2004 Marauders with factory delivered sunroof. The VIN 2MHHM designates this car's sunroof option. Both cars have identical-tilt up or slide back with a smaller console roof mounted slide back or slide forward switch. I am the original owner. :D

What makes you think it doesn't open?

A picture of the overhead console would verify if it's a factory roof or aftermarket.

The VIN should say it an "incomplete" car if it was ordered with a factory moonroof.

looks normal to me..car looks a little rough under the hood.Pretty typical for an '04 car driven daily in the snowy part of the country.

Guess we need to start educating the mis/un informed the MM engine is more closely related to the Aviator than the Mach1. Unfortunately that doesn't sound quite as sexy.:(

As do I on my late-build '04. I am sure they were mass-installed with a template for location and any variance would be indistinguishable.

It is all the same engine Mr Man.

In place of the SOHC 3-valve version of the 4.6L V8 shared with the Explorer/Mountaineer and other Ford trucks, the Aviator was fitted with the DOHC 4-valve (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Modular_engine#4.6_L) version of the engine, shared with the Ford Mustang Mach 1 (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang_Mach_1#Fourth_gen eration_.282003.E2.80.932004.2 9) and Mercury Marauder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercury_Marauder).

Spoke with Steve Babcock at MV14 and according to him the MM engine is most closely related to the Aviator. While the Mach1 engine is also similar apparently the Aviator is more similar. Steve confirmed it at the awards ceremony. Just passin' on the info from the horses mouth.:)
