My turn signals work fine... but they will not cancel after the turn is
completed...?..
SEVERAL QUESTIONS:
1. Is this a clock spring related problem?
2. If not and the shop is already into the column to repair the turn signal.. should I take the opportunity to replace clock spring.. (113,000 miles...)
I'm really into preventative maintenance...;)
Thanks, Architect

The fix is usually the turn signal stalk. May need to know the date of manufacture due to applicability. Ford wants $100 or $300 depending.

I'd just replace the turn signal assembly. Others have had clocksprings go bad but I've never had a bad one in any of my personal vehicles and any customers cars in my 10 years a a Ford tech.

If the turn signal stalk (actually called the Multi-Function Switch, or MFS) is not physically cancelling, then that has nothing to do with the clockspring. They are not mechanically connected.

I just replaced a multi function switch on a Buick, not a big deal.
