View Full Version : Escape Audiophile stereo retro-fit
Need some advice on this: I got a great deal on a Ford Escape stereo with 6 disc changer to replace the Pioneer aftermarket unit in my 03 Marauder. But when I tried to install it, I found that the Pioneer was evidently installed by a butcher because there was nothing but a big hole in the dash with the Pioneer just jammed in place.
To be able to mount this stereo as it should be do I need to replace the dash panel or is there another way to install this radio? :help:

Parts from an after market double din install kit mated to the Escape radio might be in order depending on the damage.

Here are three pictures of the damage. As you can see there's nothing for the radio to grab onto. That's a good idea Justbob, I'll see if that'll work.

get yourself a new surround and fix it right. I don't think its marauder specific so and MGM or CV will have it.

Thanks, CIH, I appreciate the advice!
Got another bezel from a vendor here and picked up an Escape Audiophile unit locally for $50.00! Installed it yesterday and it sounds great! Steering wheel controls work again and it looks good too. Very happy with the results.

It actually Marauder specific, physically the same, but some changes in the paint color on the Marauder piece.
