First let me say I love the Upgrade. The car stops way better than before.

In real world driving, after 20,000 miles, the NAPA ceramic pads I used were completely worn to the metal. They also left a lot of dust on the wheels. I didn't expect them to wear so fast as the OEM's lasted over 100,000 miles the first time and 70,000 the second. I also had to replace the rotors again.

Since I needed the pads fast, I purchased new Centric Semi-Metallic pads from a vendor next door to my work. $42 + tax.
The new rotors came from CARQUEST via the shop I had the car at. I only paid $50 each witch was virtually his cost.

These pads are very quiet and the car stops on the dime again.

Thanks,

Were the rotors you needed to replaced on the big brake kit out of true or gouged ?

They were metal to metal and could not be re-surfaced.

If your rotors are slotted they chew through pads, also if you see lots of brake dust you have to realize it's coming from somewhere. In my experience any pad that is dusty wears really fast, but is typically rotor friendly. You just need to pull wheels and look at your pads at least every 6 months. My first set of pads with this setup lasted about 8 months, they were super dusty Stoptech Street Perfomance pads, I thought they gripped great, but weren't worth the money. I switched over to Raybestos Enhanced Hybrid Technology pads (p/n: EHT731H) they grip better than anything else I've tried on this kit and my Baer Setup(basically the same setup) and they there is almost no dust. I have about 5k on them so far and everything is great.

I've always had best results with metallic pads. Performance and lifetime are gread. Cold stopping power is low, but the first stop fixes that.

I went with Wagner Ceramic pads. No issues here. Little to no brake dust and pad wear is minimal
