It's Official,

I now have in my possession Chris Wright's Beautiful 2003 Whipple'd Black Marauder!! I can't thank Chris and Marty enough on all the assistance they have provided in making this transaction take place. She is a real beauty!!! The car had a mishap in transit as the carrier damaged the front clip scrapping the bottom corners of the car. The car is currently being re tuned to pass DE emissions (Again thanks to Marty for working with my Tuner @ Performance Evolution to make this happen.) I have renamed the car Fittingly I Think... Black Mamba. I think the name fits.... Dark and Deadly!!!! I have already reserved the License Plate "BLKMABA". Once i get it tagged it will be going to get the front clip repainted to repair the damage in transit. The Carrier has agreed to take care of the repair. So now I have (2) two wickedly fast Marauders!!!! :burn:

Message from Tuner this morning...

I have contacted Marty with the info he needed and am awaiting the new tune. Thats the good news... bad news is, I drove the car in the park here just to make sure it was going to simply run and drive ok and we have an issue. Car wont shift out of first gear. I was going 30 mph, 3500 or more rpm and still in first gear. I remember someone saying they were working on transmission issues right before it left GA, know anything about this? I know NOTHING about the transmission or the controller used and dont really have time today to look at it... just thought I would bring it to your attention.

Looks like I should have driven down to get the car myself.....:( I'm sure this has something to do with the carrier that picked the car up.

Just got a call from tuner, drove car again and the trans is working properly. (Maybe in the wrong gear on stick shift!?!?!?!?!)

Right now I'm leaning towards the Black as it's a new addition to the family. And I want to introduce it to the East Coast Marauder Group. I can only drive one but thats the thought now. ;)

Performance Evolution is where I may be taking mine to get the final tune done to it. It's about 2 1/2 hrs from me. Either Smyrna DE or a 10 hr road trip to Georgia. Still deciding.

The car carrier Reality Auto Sales inc. after being submitted an estimate for the damage they caused say they will only pay "Their labor rate" to repair the car. And they want me to let them take the car to have it painted, or removed the clip have it painted and reinstall it for me. Oh or they will give me $200.00 for the repair. Neither of these things is gong to happen. I have to get another estimate for the Broker to file and will be contacting my insurance company to get an opinion. The damage estimate is just under $600.00.

Perhaps your insurance co. can talk to their insurance co.. They damaged your car how can they dictated the cost or repair. They have insurance for mishaps like what happened to you. Sounds like they damage a lot of cars and their insurance rates are skyrocketing. Patience is going to be your best option here. Good thing your retired.;)

I'm not retired yet but they have picked on the wrong one. I know this industry, heck my agency regulates it. The Broker is working with me to take care of the problem but ultimately they will pay. it's just a matter of when. I see a lawsuit in the future. Maybe they want to come to Delaware to litigate.
