It is sold, unless the guy backs out before I get there. Will be having a friend pick it up, and if that fails, I will be headed to Miramar Fl..

It is still on Craigslist, so maybe he did back out.

How much weight can you put on top of these thing? What exactly is the purpose of having one? I do a lot of travelling and it would seem that I wouldn't be able to fit as much suitcases in the trunk with that in there.

Nope, I picked it up a little over a week ago. As advertised never used and it looked like it. Well worth $150, hmmm wait a minute...

$150 for organizer
$400 for Motel (2 nights, can't stay in the slums)
$200 for gas (+ or -)
$150 - $200 meals and snacks

Total abt $900 ,

Oh wait my personal navigator got to see her husband... He works there and she works here (they don't get to see much of each other). That made the trip worth it.

Plus I got to spend a little time on Fort Lauderdale Beach watching the people go by... especially the ladies. ;) It was such a beautiful day...

It does eat up a lot of room in the trunk, however when I travel it is just me so I am not concerned with it.

As to how much weight they will take, it depends on how you distribute the weight. If you balance the weight over the dividers it holds up a little better. However, you can bend the lids if you aren't careful.

I remember someone stating that when they had a new stereo (I think) installed one of the technicians laid across the lids and bent the crap out of them.
