View Full Version : Chrome 160 amp alternator

Hey I need so help. Most would think I am funny. For asking this question. Would a chrome 160 amp alternator be good for my 04 DTR MM. And I would like too know how big is the stock alternator is on our MM. And help would be very much appreciate it

It has to be a 4g type, I think stock is 130 amp

Buyer beware! I have tried several different suppliers for chrome alternators on my Mustangs. They all failed after a year or two.
I bit the bullet, took the case off of the stock Ford unit, and had it chromed. The result.. no failures yet.
Just saying.....

Thanks but I will get the chrome 160. Nothing is wrong with mine. I want a Chrome one. So it can make my engine look better. Being i already have. A Bling Bling Stage 2 ADTR VORTECH V3 Supercharger kit 8n my 04 DTR MM. And Stang I got a show car race car Street Car 90 Fox Mustang. So your not telling me anything I don't know already. Thanks alot.

Just make sure it's 4g and that will be pulse width modulated by your PCM, when they sell you a crown Vic one and it WONT work, let's just say you have been warned
Yours needs to be for a marauder, and that regulator/ alternator is more common to the 98 4 valve cobra
