OEM car cover wanted

Okay, I've put this off for 12+ years and I'm tired of wrapping her in plastic and then moving blankets every year.

With all these cars changing hands lately... Anybody out there have one for a decent price no longer in need of?

I really prefer an OEM.

Yes, they did. And I think it came in two colors. My black one says Marauder on it and has a neat license plate window.

The OEM Car Cover was in the original sales brochure as an accessory when you bought the MM new. I believe the part number is 2W3J-19A412-CA. You can find it on page 12 of 175 (credit goes to gdmjoe):

I was thinking about an outdoor cover as well but these threads dissuaded that idea.

Any cover used outside will eventually trash your paint. Especially the "quality" that Ford used on Panthers..

I think you're right. I think it may be that 2W3Z-19A412-CA is black and the 2W3J-19A412-CA is grey. Either way, I believe they are both obselete and aftermarket may be the only way to go, unless someone has an unused OEM one sitting in their garage attic...

This is the one I have for my car. I only use it for indoor purposes and it works great. I do try to make sure before the cover goes on for the car to be washed. That way there won't be no dirt in between cover and car creating swirl marks.

When you go thru the ordering process you will come to a disclaimer:

Monogramming Notes & Instructions: * We do not recommend full words to be spelled in ALL CAPS. * Due to copyright laws vehicle names/brands cannot be monogrammed. Some are available as officially licensed logos. Personalized embroidery like "Sally's Mustang" is allowed. * Some punctuation marks are allowed: periods, commas, ampersand, apostrophes & hyphens. * 20 Character Max - Not Including Spaces.

Also if you select black for floor mats the site states that white is the only color for the monogram.

I really like my aftermarket cover. No Marauder stamped on it but don't care.
I fold my mirrors in during storage. Those mirror condoms look silly, imho. What is the purpose of a window for the plate again?

Some towns don't want people turning their yards into junkyards and require all cars to be registered. The window allows for the plate to be run to see if it's an active registration. Most LEO's could care less but occasionally you get mayor or committee member who thinks they need to be the yard police.

When I lived in Huntley, IL they actually walked up onto my driveway and ticketed my car because I didn't have a $10 sticker on the windshield.
