I have about $5000 and I want a Marauder. It'd be nice if it had a clean title and less than 150,00 miles on it but I'd be flexible on that depending on the reputation of the member selling it. It can be any factory color and does not have to have the original wheels. Other modifications may be acceptable depending on the execution. I'm in Maryland but I'll drive pretty darn far (+/- 600 miles) for the right car.

Yep, saw that one. The Carfax history on that one put me off. Coming from a well regarded member on here, I'd take the chance. I might've even taken the chance if the membership here vouched for the car, but not going to risk it otherwise.

Yep and he has an oil leak. Oil pan you gotta pull the engine to fix it. I was hoping for the "it's time to sell it" line but nope, he said he would let me know! LOL.

Not really my place to say it, but I purchased my '03 with 105k on the clock & in full knowing that it had body work done (and a frame rail replaced) after a collision. Couldn't even tell unless you looked at the welds (and the shop that did the work did a VERY good job).

I paid $6500 in full knowledge of that, & haven't regretted the decision. I also wouldn't part with it for a penny less than that.
Find one that's rust free & runs/drives true. They're out there, but I personally think you'd have a hard time finding a clean, non-salvage title/4 million owner Marauder for $5000.

You are aware that these cars require premium gas right? 87 won't cut it. I only bring this up as gas prices are steadily rising even when in winter they usually drop. They have been hinting at $3.00 a gallon again which means premium will be 25-50 cents higher.

Yep, I've considered that. The tire situation is more concerning to me but I consider it an acceptable trade off for a car that I really, really like.

Size and availability mostly. I'm expecting that they'll be a bit more expensive than tires for a more common car and wheel size. Tires for my Oldsmobile where $50 each for the cheap ones and this time I'd like to go with something a bit nicer.
