I want to switch my 1968 Buick Skylark convertible to a classic car insurer...so far Hagerty and Grundy seem like they will both save me a significant amount of money. Anyone have experience with either of these companies?

I've had Hagerty for several years now. So far so good, but I also haven't filed a claim. That's where the rubber hits the road. Only time will tell, but so far I'm happy.

I just recently went with hagertys. Was a fairly simple process. Quick phone call, some pics of the car and payment. Insured for 20k and I can drive it 4000 miles a year

grundy does not have a mileage limit, must have proof of a daily driver and that it wont be used for back up transportation, and have been cheaper on quotes than hagerty for me. like 40% cheaper

I have grundy on my 2011 mustang gt, a few Buick grand nationals and a few 67 68 firebirds

They rock

When my mustang was sideswiped from a semi shoving a Taurus into my lane, my insurance experience went like this

Phone call to grundy

Took to dealer

Picked up fixed 30 days later

$0.00 deductible

Cars perfect

Yes there is no mileage limit, but it's only to be used for non errand or work trips.............

Funny first car I insured with them I got a whole bunch of questions if I modded it etc, after that the other cars they didn't even question about mods

Hagerty is fantastic. For my 64 Corvette which I was having a complete repaint and restoration they replaced my windshield with no questions asked. Paid out complete for that job for date coded glass.

Do you have it on your marauder, I have Grundy on all my other cars. However they don't classify the marauder as a collectable. The only collectable insurance company i have found willing to accept it is Hagerty.

I have Hagerty on all of my collectible cars. They require a secure garage. I have been very pleased with their rates and the ease of adding a car to the policy.

I've had Hagerty for years with no issues. But with all this talk about Grundy I'll think I'll get a quote to compare prices.

Grundy would not insure my Marauder. Why?
1) They told me I have an EZ pass which means I am using it as a driver
2) I sent a picture of the car outside which means I don't keep it in a garage

They were not willing to listen to my explanations.

I have Hagerty on all my Marauders and the Shelby Mustang. They said there was no mileage limit as long as it was not a daily driver. They also have towing on all my cars, even the ones not insured with them. I have been happy with them so far.
