Mine is still attached and happy after a decade. I'd be happy to make paper templates and send them in cardboard tubes if anybody decides to make their own from sheet ABS.

Silver car has one and I too need to draw it out on paper and make some for friends here in Kansas area
Any idea what kind of plastic this stuff is? Since we're talking about them :)

Doubtful it is available with crown vic police cars being dicontinued for over 5 years now, as that is where they were designed for. Call or email Progard, they don't sell direct but can give you fleet suppliers in your state that used to sell them.

I bought 3 last year. One for the car that got rear ended, another for the new car, and a spare. Check with Pro-Gard to find a distributor, they do not sell direct to customer. My local distributor is a gun shop that supplies equipment to police departments. The part number is not listed in the latest catalog. I don't know if it was old stock or made-to-order. There is a thread somewhere which has the part number.

The install instructions are attached for the ProGard skid plate. Maybe it will help someone.
Hmm I wondered what those were and where they came from. My MM has it under the trunk to the rear bumper, there are small panels on the front bumper just before tires. I was wondering why the Blue I had didn't have them and this one did.

The oem marauder ones are the same as the 07 and newer CV cop cars, maybe even the same as the MGM
My DTR ones were broken up front, pulled some from a few newer cop cars and they were identicle At the time I tried to buy new, marauder were obsolete and the CV ones were expensive

Does anyone know if these come with the "brackets" to attach them? I recall a member here sold a better kit with mounting brackets....
Also would be neat to paint the the godshead logo on these... so when car is on rack....

So I got one from Beyer Fleet. They will ship anywhere.
$47.20+$20.00 shipping+$3.25 tax.
$70.45 total. More than I wanted to spend but I guess not everything in life has free shipping.
Beyer said: "The shipping will definitely fluctuate depending on where they are, but we can absolutely get these to them. ProGard only have a few left in stock before they’re totally done, too, so they’d definitely be grateful to you guys for helping them get rid of it!"

Since I just received mine I'll extend this offer, then no one needs to take the skid plate off the car. I just need to get some heavy paper and tubes. Probably wouldn't hurt to make a template for future members.
Does anyone know a source for the ABS plastic? Just trying to think ahead.

I'm not sure which would be better, ABS, Acetal, HDPE ...

My understanding is that they aren't really a "skid-plate" as an 1/8" sheet of plastic isn't going to protect anything. They were more for smoothing the airflow under the back of the car at pursuit speeds. Air builds up under there and causes the bumper to balloon.

If you'd like to get a hold of Musclemerc, try him here http://moddedmarauders.net/content.php
His skid plate set up was far superior than a progard. the stabilizing brackets were 2nd to none. ;)

ABS would be the best choice... it's inexpensive, resilient, lasts a long time, easy to cut/machine, and available with textured finish from many vendors. I've worked in the plastics industry and can vouch for this stuff.

Yeah.
At first he quoted me a real skid plate for the new PI. 1/4 inch steel, super heavy, and over $200 before shipping. ABS plastic isn't for any real skidding.

Just to report that U200FR from Pro-gard is still available.
Ordered mine from a local distributor in Arlington, TX, and it's being drop-shipped from the home office in Indiana - $69 + $25 shipping = $94.
Should have ordered from NJ referenced in the string and saved the TX governor's cut = $5.88 sales tax. Every buck counts, right? (...help offset the possible extra hardware needed? HA!)
Anxious to see if it's truly going to be a 'bolt-and-go' but not too optimistic based on some of the previous replies and threads. Any suggestions/cheats/hints/hacks/mods, etc. would be greatly appreciated!
(It's those support brackets that I cannot make that I'd give anything for...)
Here's my notes:

Or, you could do it the easy, cheap and effective way that several of us on the road use.
1. Climb under the rear bumper
2. Remove the bolts along the bottom of the bumper
3. Reach above the bumper and turn the support brackets 90*. (These are the things that the bumper was being screwed into.)(Doesnt matter whether you turn them left or right. The purpose is to get them out of the way.)
4. Above the bumper and slightly towards the front of the car there is a support beam that has slots cut into it. Run a Zip tie through the bolt support hole and a slot in that beam and tighten down.
5. Clean up.
With the above method I have yet to scrape my bumper on anything more substantial than tall grass. I have been using this method on patrol cars since mid of 04 on my assigned patrol cars. The exhaust pipes now hit before the bumper can get touched. A great selling point, if you will, is that this method is reversible. If you don't like it, cut the zip ties, turn the brackets back down and bolt them back in.
Thanks very much for your help!

I made a cardboard template from mine before I installed it. If I can find it I'll make a kraft paper tracing and send it if you want.
