Need to raise some cash for a 4:10 gear install so I have decided to sell my recently purchased never opened Metco upper and lower control arm kit. Metco price is $429 +$20 shipping so $449 total. you kinda want the control arms when doing a 4.10 swap. it launches harder.

I agree, I did 4.10s first and the car was all over the place so much I basically totaled it.

Control arms make the car feel 800lbs lighter. 4.10's and CA's even better. I have the Lidio tune and after installing my arms, my upshifts are chirpier and will break tires loose on the 1 -2 and the 2 - 3 on slippery pavement. Best bang for the buck IMO.

Thanks all you are really making me doubt myself. Is it the stiffer bushing that make the difference? I am still NA so will it really affect the chirp?

the whole arm is like an I beam vs a stamped flimsy steel piece. the bushing keeps it firm. yes, it helps a n/a car. put them on and hit a curved off ramp or change lanes fast at 70 +

OK. The wiser ones have convinced me to keep them and install them. Now I need to make more money so I can afford to complete the project. At least I have the parts.

I find that interesting. My CA's made a world of difference. The rear was planted and not so floaty. High speed adjustments were precise and the steering was more darty with the smallest of inputs.
My buddy drove mine and his experience was so dramatic he bought them, too.

Did you do any other mods at the same time? New tires? Lowered?

I've had the suspension drop since new. The only thing replaced while apart was all the brakes and rotors. No suspension mods. Who knows, maybe my stock CA's were worn and sloppy. At 46K miles I didn't see anything alarming during disassembly. The difference was definitely seat-o-the-pants.

Rear sway bar made more of a difference for me. Control arms were just incremental. I'm N/A so perhaps that's a factor.

Nor did I...... If my car was NA, maybe, but high HP just smoke the tires on the 1-2,2-3,3-4, unless your Bob, then you do that on the 5-6......:burnout:

The annoying duck waddle when hitting it around corners on my car was instantly gone. Straight line nothing dramatic.

I had the Trilogy recently installed and was told I "needed" them. My car only had around 48,000 at the time and my control arms and bushings were in excellent shape. I was just expecting something dramatic I suppose. But I would almost have to lie to myself to justify them compared to the stock ones with the canned Trilogy tune.

Now a few years ago after I bumped the HP up around 100 more and the Metco bushings were flat out worn and cracked in half I noticed that! It was the feeling dog walking a burnout..

Installed new bushings and turned the wick up an additional 250 HP and I it goes without saying they are a necessity now and perhaps not even enough anymore.
