I hear raddling noise when i press the gas. Does anyone one have any idea what it could be. It start after it ran hot from me burping the the car wrong. After I burped it an got all the air out of the system I've been hearing it.

could be bent valve, i would not run it, in would check compression on each cylinder since you got it hot.

Those are lean codes. Im assuming the rattling is pre-detonation aka spark knock. Dont drive it until you figure out the reason for the leaness

Ok. What should I check for

Hot hot did it get? And for how long? was it running as smooth as normal even when it was rattling?

lean codes mean too much oxygen, you need to check for compression in each cylinder. these cars have knock sensors. so doubt it is knocking you heard

The knock sensors can only retard timing so much. They are designed to account for changes in heat, fuel quality, and higher loads on the engine as well as other normally fluctuating driving factors. They are NOT set up for engine issues like we are trying to diagnose when overheating is involved.

I fixed the over heating. It only over heated one time an when I seen it goin up in pulled over an had the car towed back to the house.

these cars have a known hot spot on cyl. 8 due to poor coolant path in the head. it happens over time and one overheat could be enough to finish cylinder 8 off.

Ok what would be the best thing to do

compression test each cylinder and write numbers down. this is my opinion. im not an expert in theze motors. but have read enough of cylinder 8 failures all due to poor cooling, thats why there is the head cooling mod.

How do i do that mod

Hey I checked the codes again it's a p1235 could that be the reason the other 2 codes pop up

Yes. That is a fuel pump control issue. You are running lean as I suggested before and that causes predetonation or spark knock. You hopefully have no engine issue yet, but a fuel starvation issue. Either the pump cannot pump enoough fuel, the pcm is commanding too little fuel, or the fuel pump driver module is malfunctioning if it has one like the vics. I would check fuel pressure with a manual gauge first.

And if you have access to a scanned that can show you the o2 short term and long term trims. You can see if the pcm is trying to correct a problem, or commanding it.

Yes I have one that will show. I'll start checking them. Thanks for the help btw.

I thought the cooling mod was only necessary if running a supercharger? Should it be done to NA Marauders too?

i know more than one n/a marauder whu went thru head work, without cooling mod. they have the mod now. its cheap piece of mind.

Found the problem it had a vacuum leak.

Lean as suspected. I'm glad you got it fixed and it was indeed spark knock. If you ever hear that noise again whilst driving stay out of the throttle. The mixture is igniting before the piston reaches top dead center and basically trying to push the piston backwards causing extreme heat as well as the pinging noise . Good luck!
