There is a long eire coming out of the sencer. The wire comes out of the sencer and at some point it conects to a harness. were does it connect to the harness.

So please give us something more from this story

What is wrong with the car?

It's not normal for someone to ask where the connection for that is,... is there a knock issue or code????

Please fill us in

Find the eire or wire and follow it.

Take two thumbs and two fore fingers and start walking them away from the sensor. You will find it at the end of your journey. I promise there is no trickery involved.

Car is knocking under load in 4th gear (up a hill) until it down shifts . I want to check the plug at the harness. Im not going to remove the intake to trace it. I have a new sensor but I was unable to find a simmiliar connector. From what I can see the 4.6 2v has the sensor in the same location and the wire goes forward and over by the left head. I have found no reference to it in the manual.

Not the knock sensor big guy.
Either bad or wrong octane gas, excessive carbon or, well, a zillion other things.
Bottom line....not the knock sensor. Or censer. However you improperly spell it

The knock sensor is supposed to detect knock, and the computer is supposed to be smart enough to pull timing

Not so much on these cars and installing a new knock sensor will only empty your wallet

Like Zack said, carbon build up, clogged injectors, wrong shift schedule, too many hookers in the trunk

What mph are you having that issue and try shutting off overdrive with the button on the shifter up to 55 60 mph

What elevation are you at?

So I gather no one knows were the sensor plugs into the harness.
