Oh yeah. It's tighter than the old one which gained us mph at the stripe without locking it. And didn't hurt the 60'. Set it lock at the end of last year but never got to test. So got a few more weeks til we get to run the quarter again.

The car in the pic is the Shermanator at Maryland International Raceway (MIR) also known as Budd's Creek last October. Chris (Blown3.8) is his pit crew, mechanic, tuner, wheel changer, transport hauler, and back-up driver. Come on out to Carlisle All Ford Nationals in June, any Marauderville, or the Southern Super Heavyweight Shootout (SSHS) in November and you can see this beast in person and get all the specs. Beautiful car with an engine bay that sparkles.

Banging out some good 60s. 1.46 with a little shake, too much pressure. Got pressure where I wanted it and hit a 1.43 60' no shake at all. Run a 6.49 at 106.

Just pulled a 1.428 60' and a new best 8th by .002 of 6.455, with the converter locking up now that should get us a 9 second pass.

Car didn't run the number in first round. Not sure what happened yet. Haven't crunched the numbers yet. But it laid a bunch of grass and mud down on the track and the 60' was slow so I think we were sliding on that. Sherm did his job on the tree and beat the guy by .02.

It rained saturday night and we were back in the grass and mud. They had to clean the track after our run. Sherm said it stepped out on the 1-2 shift too. DA wasn't as good Sunday morning either and we didn't leave ourselves enough time on the table in qualifying. In Open comp they take your fastest qualifying pass and deduct .05 from that to set your dial in for the rest of the race. So our best qualifying pass was 6.54 which was a little sand bag pass, so that set our dial at 6.49. My best passes in testing 2 days before was 6.45. So we didn't have much time to play with for tires spinning or whatever.
