Finally able to get it on a lift at work, oil filter adapter gasket possibly? Is it a pain to swap out?

No, but you will need to drain the coolant to a low level.

It is a common issue and I've fixed two. Up in the air with basic tools and equipment it'd be a 1.5 hour job. I am sure it is the gasket but UV dye will tell the tale if you put an ounce in the oil and drive 2 days.

Drop the oil. Drop the coolant
Grab a garbage can size funnel to catch the coolant
Pull the housing, I used a razor blade to back scrape the housing and pop in the new gasket
You will need to get all the air out of the heater hoses and change your oil :)

If this is what I think it is, I also replaced the oil filter adapter gasket this past weekend. I had to change the oil and also make sure that no air was in the coolant hoses. Seems to be common with the MM. Took about 2 hours, maybe a little more. But I am super-meticulous when it comes to making sure there's no air in the system.
This was the culprit:

Check the aluminum surfaces for putting and corrosion. Apply silicone in such spots, if necessary
