I have some 15" Pro Stars I can run on my car at the track, but I have yet to see if they will fit. If you guys can tell me, will a 15x8 with a 5 1/2" back spacing work on our cars? If not, what backspacing should I be looking for? Thanks in advance

I doubt they will fit. I have some 15x7's with a 3.75" BS that hang out the fender just a little.

16" wheels will offer you better fitment. But you are more limited in tire sizes with 16's. But there are a few good tire choices for the average Joe.

The issues you run into with 15" wheels are. The barrel clearing the brake caliper and then the inside lip hitting the lower shock mount and bolt.

We had some 16" mustang wheels widened which came out to a 6.75" BS

You can fit a 6.25" BS with a 15" wheel before the wheel hits the shock bolt, if the wheel barrel will clear the caliper. You may be able to grind the caliper a little to fit it.

I'll try them to see how it goes. I'll report back. Thanks for the input
