Decided to start the two MM's yesterday. Black took a jump and ran like a champ. Silver decided to be grumpy. After giving it a jump as well the alt bearing decided to squeal so I gave it the finger and it settled down. I have a new alt I'll put on in a couple of months. It was charging though at least according to the gauge.

Silver also decided to get hot. Tapped the thermostat housing a bit to see if it was stuck, but if it is it didn't unstuck. So I either have air or a stuck thermostat. I will address both issues soon as well. I seem to remember the MM thermostat has a small hole in it. Do I remember this correctly or should I ease up on the ayahuasca tea? I will be getting the stock Motorcraft one, anyone know the part number? :)

Is the fan running when it's hot? When the engine is cold, crack open a crossover tube and see if there's any coolant.

The fan did come on. I think I'll get the cooling system refreshed as it's about do anyways. Figure while I'm at it I'll swap out what parts I can, hoses, belt, etc. :)

Where is this bi-pass? Got a new thermostat today and I'm at a loss for a hole. Got it from the dealer and their number is the same as RockAuto.
