Yes like the title says we had a "Little Hail" storm come though. I've done a little research and there's a lot of different methods for doing this. All 3 of my vehicles have some damage. Is there an easy way to fix this? Something a novice should try or give up and call the insurance company? Maybe something that requires a little bit of skill? I'm mechanically inclined just not a body and fender guy.

I had some hail damage a few years ago and gave it to my insurance. There was over $3000 worth of damage, but you wouldn't think it by looking at it. No paint work, so the body shop used a guy that did paintless dent removal. The car looks great! Can't tell there was anything wrong with it. Check it out on youtube.

Having a dentless guy fix it might be cheaper than your deductible. How bad is it?

In my experience paintless dent removal works 99.99% of the time, especially if you have an experienced pro do it.
I would not attempt it as you need alot of very special tools and the "right" touch as the sheet metal is very thin.

Paintless dent removal is like magic. I had a branch fall on mine when it was new and it looked like the fender was punched. Even with silver paint AND knowing where the dent was, it was invisible afterward.

An update, got estimates on all 3 vehicles $5500. That's not yen, that's US dollars. In Alabama if you have a comprehensive claim on multiple vehicles dew to one event, you only have to pay 1 deductible. Hallelujah for that. I've got $500 deductibles. I'm only out 1 of those.

I had a PDR expert drive across state lines for mine, it was a nasty crease dent. He got it out and one other small spot. Did it on his lunch break, side job $100 cash. Sometimes it pays to ask if they're willing to do that, most are.
