I am looking to buy some Gauge Pod Clips, Ford Part Number: W704021-S309. They are obsolete from Ford and I have had no luck with eBay, Amazon or aftermarket. Would anyone have any leads or have any for sale?

Thank you in advance.

Good luck!

You'll have better luck find a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow or hens teeth.

Lol! Are they that hard to find? Does anyone know if the same or similar part was used for another application?

I have spent hours looking thru various parts books online and haven't been able to find anything similar.

I called my local ford dealer and they were able to trace it down. Think the part number changed, IIRC.

My parts dealer was able to find them. I am certain they were used other applications as well on our cars, not sure where.

If I'm not mistaken weren't they used aswell to hold the scuff plates down at the bottom of the door openings. Like where the carpet tucks up under.

I am going to hit a few junkyards later this weekend and look for old grilles and scuff plates and see I can find some that will work. Otherwise I'll start calling dealers outside of my area.

I appreciate everyone's info! Thank you very much!

I ordered 4 from Tasca. $1.39 each. Shipping was kind of expensive at $8.

No shipping fee at a Ford dealer

My time is worth more than calling, placing the order, paying and then driving over to the Ford dealer 10 miles away to save $8.

Check out your Ford dealer for Part # W704021S304M, Come in a pkg of 4 $4.24 Retail. It should be the same part but with some difference in the finish. Hope that helps.

The ones from Amazon are not exactly like the OEM ones but in my opinion the OEM ones were too wide and held on so strong that they often popped off and were lost when removing the gauge pod!!:mad2:

The Amazon ones are a bit narrower and should snap in and out of place easier......you can also expand them if too loose too!!

They will hold the gauge pod in place so I guess they will work quite well!!;)

I wish I'd have found this thread earlier. I'll add the ones I ended up buying to the thread, just for completeness, and in case the Ford part becomes unavailable or something. A bit pricier, but the listed price is for two. The clips I received were bright silver color, not matte, if that matters.
