Quick question, my car already has the gold coolant in it and was made in 9/03; should I get VC7DILB or VC7B when I do my own coolant flush and are five bottles enough? I have a project that I have to do on my car soon.

dont forget about the burp/refill procedure needed to do after opening/servicing the coolant system.

It's the same coolant, just the one with "DIL" is pre-diluted....normally 50/50. It's convenient, but you're paying a huge premium for the water.

Should I get 3 bottles of coolant and just pour 2.5/
3 in and do the other 2.5/3 tap water? Or just not waste my time and just but the 5 bottles already prediluted?

Buy the coolant then add distilled water. I try to never use tap water - too many minerals

just to verify but if I wanted to top off to my coolant that's already in my car its fine to add brand new coolant, correct?

Just wondering because the back of the bottle says not to mix with used coolant and I thought that was odd. Thanks, everyone.

Topping off the system is fine. They don't want you to do a 50/50 with new and old freeze. If your going to drain the system why drain it 1/2 way?

Advance auto parts sells Zerex G-05 Gold Gold coolant which is equivalent to the Ford stuff and you could buy it in a 50/50 mix. Or you can get full strength Motorcraft Gold at any Ford dealership
