#484 Totalled

Sad day, my 2003 #484 got caught in a hail storm a week and a half ago, insurance company is calling her a total loss. Good news is I can buy it back and its still plenty driveable, bad news is she now has a salvage title for life. They are compensating me pretty good for it but hate to see it have a salvage title, just ruins the value and can no longer have full coverage on it so not even gonna bother fixing it.

Im not sure about Kansas, but in Illinois if the insurance company never officially takes possession of the car, the title stays clean.

No full coverage? We had a grand marquis with a rebuilt title then the wife hit a deer. Being a previously salvaged title had no effect on what we were paid. But I know it's different in every state.

In some states you can pay to have the salvage/rebuilt title removed...or so I've heard...

Buy it back, replace the hood, trunk, and glass, and then throw an old school cloth carriage roof on it. 😂

I was actually amazed at the guys skills when I had a few door dings fixed that my daughter put in the Marauder with my wife's car. Soon after she did it again. I left that one. LOLzzzzz
