SCT X4 Issues

I'm attempting to tune an 04 Lincoln Aviator with a SCT X4 tuner. The problem is the tuner don't seem to recognize the vehicle. It shows an error code 21000. And a 21301 when I try to read any codes. Not just 1 X4 but 3 different tunes read this way. I dug out an old X3 and it hooked up with no problems. Read the vin number and the codes. Even cleared the codes with it. I downloaded 151 updates to the X4 I intend to us on the Aviator still nothing. I've called SCT, nice people but didn't get any where with them. They did tell me there is no SCT tune preloaded for the Aviator, but that still doesn't explain why the tuners won't recognize the vehicle. Any ideas? I'm going to try to get the Aviator, the tuner, and SCT all together at the same time to see if they can make something happen.

Does the X4 recognize any of your other cars? Just trying to eliminate the obvious.:)

Yes it does. I pluged it in the Marauder, with on problems. It will read and clear codes, and recognize the vin #.

The X4 seems to be finicky like this. I had to install a tune from the old X2 then the X4 would recognize the Marauder. It was something about the stock tune being corrupt for me.

I plugged the X3 in today everything worked fine. Then I plugged in the X4 nothing. It just doesn't connect to the Aviator. I'm thinking maybe get Marty to write a tune for the Aviator and put it on the X3 then load it. I just need to turn off the O2 sensors.
