So all this talk about console pegs made me wonder who has reapired (and how) the tines for the vents in the back lower portion of the console. With people making badge-less grills etc. I would think someone has either replaced all of these with a different type of mesh (screen? metal?) or repaired them by using some kind of plastic repair or JB weld substance.

I'm curious also since this console part is discontinued.

Unfortunately not, I had one in my console but it mysteriously disappeared the other side I never did find. I figured I'd epoxy them back on. I think I can sculpt them out of epoxy. The easy thing would to just replace the whole thing with my NOS one but I'd prefer to do that after kids are out of house

Yeah... I'd say screw it and wait for no more kids in the back. That being said, one thing I've seen that could work is a black steel mesh that I've seen on aftermarket computer towers. It is used to fill in slots that are not occupied by DVD drives or whatnot.

One of mine got broken in the high-mile car. We found to part and glued it back in with gorilla glue. Held it in place with tape until it set up, then trimmed the excess off. Holds up ok, if you didn't know it had been repaired you wouldn't notice it.

yep, I was going to do that with the first price that broke but unfortunately when someone vacuumed the car for me it was discarded.
