Trying to put a stock tune in so I can pass emissions, but I'm running into trouble. I attached photos in the order I ran through the tuner, finalizing in the error received. Not sure what to do now.

Sounds like your stock tune file may be corrupt. Contact MartyO at Mo's, bet he can help.

Well, it's not a "stock" tune, it's one that Zack sold me and installed years ago. I didn't have this problem the last time I had to swap tunes for emissions, though. But, yeah, I guess I'll hit up MO, since I prefer to not contact customer support for stuff. The people on the other end just aren't helpful all too often.

Good luck. If you dont have your STOCK image file backed up you may be in deep doo doo.... When this happened to me i eventually had to take to ford for reflash to stock.

Well.... ask Zack for a stock tune and load that to the tuner. Problem solved
That box holds 3 tunes, plug it into your laptop, delete the tune with the wrong gears for your car. Remove current tune and load newest one
So I'm wondering why your current tune won't pass emissions? What's turned off? Putting the stock tune in to fix what???

It currently has a Zack tune, and Zack is the fellow who graciously set up my Xcal with a stock tune a couple days ago. I only just a couple months ago got the Xcal 2, and I've had the custom tune on it for years. Zack helped out a few years ago when I had to do a tune swap to pass emissions and I had no trouble then. The tune turns off checking of the O2 sensors and Illinois started checking for that and failing cars.

Why not text Zack? Ask him? Why are you asking us?

No, the tune currently on the car appears to be corrupt, hence the apparent problem with the tuner being able to read it to back it up.

I replied to your email. But, now that I've seen this thread, I'm willing to bet that the X2 is corrupted and not the tune or your car will not run.

I'm still confused. No need to back up that tune, it's still loaded to the tuner
Upload a different tune

This is what I'm not following. It's your current tune that's fine, you can't load a Zack oem BDM0 or MOV2 or late 03 tune
What does Zack say? Why bring this here? Not sure what you need, do you need a oem file? Are you loading it to your laptop correctly?
Zack doesn't do this anymore You shouldn't post this x2 stuff cause it's "ancient technology ". Lmao

My ECM is BDM0, and my car is an '03, and previous attempts worked fine. The problem is with the tune currently on the car and the Xcal having trouble reading it in order to back it up. And I know Zack doesn't do this anymore, but he was willing to help me out since we've worked together on this previously. I am not using my computer at all in any of this, I sent the Xcal to Zack and he sent it back.

Situation is now resolved, it was indeed the Xcal 2 and not the car like I thought. Feel a bit like an idiot, but sometimes that' the only way we learn.
