I'm planning on installing my zack's BBK today and thinking about painting the wheel wells while the wheels are off. The plastic is faded but in good condition. Do you guys use something specific that holds up to the abuse of a daily driver? Or just some black spray paint?

it will peel off over time, I've done it to another vehicle before but didn't prep it. you'll have to clean it good, and recommend scuffing it with scotchbrite. This will be a regular maintenance item once you do it. Might want to just wipe them down with a back to black or wheel dressing from time to time.

Since it is plastic you can try a blow-dryer at high setting or a heat gun at a low setting, warm the plastic up and it creates a nice glaze. That's what owners have done with the red plastic inner wheels on W30 442, but you need to be careful. Others do prep them well then use SEM dye or plastic paint. But as mentioned it tends to peel.

When washing your MM use wheel dressing like black magic, armor all etc... Whichever one you use and stays shining for sometime.
