Looking for some 16" front & rear tire suggestion(s) for my '04 MM. One of the current wheels is pictured below (16x7). They're OEM from a '01 MGM/GS. I'm looking to do an all season or winter set of tires. My aim going forward is to continue using the hub caps, trim rings and spell the MM wheels every now & then. Appreciate any input.

Thanx

you need staggered sizes or traction control will go off.there are 16"sizes on the site recommended by members.

We liked the Pirelli Scorpion M&S tires.

I beilieve the offset is different on pre-2003 CV/GM. It might look like a skateboard.

i missed the 2001 year, yep wrong offset, wheels will stick out past fenders, look bad and handle bad. you need 2003 and up

I'm trying to keep my trim rings. Is there a comparable rim with a lip allowing me to retain the rings?

prolly not in the 16". 2003-2005....2006 later CV/GM went to 17" and trim rings work on them as they at .5 wider

Ditto. I have been through 2 sets & they handle great.

You can put 2003+ wheels on a -2002 (by using hub-centric spacers), but not the other way 'round.

I, too, like the look of steelies with centre caps and trim rings. That's what I have on my 2000 GMQ.

Yeah, that was my GM's final look before downsizing to a single car. I hoped to retain the look with my Marauder now that it's my DD. I'm tryin to simplify wheel maintenance w/ the caps, rings and steelies. Hopefully, I'll get it poppin' before the next winter. Thought I'd confirm my options now.

About $200. ea, @Tire Rack and they were showing zero balance. Skateboard tires they're not!:burnout:

FWIW: I have a 2004 GMQ LS Ultimate Edition (bought new) with the 16" HPP "9 spoke" wheels.
I replaced the OEM Goodyear Integra tires with Goodyear Assurance ComforTred whitewalls, drove them 50k miles, then replaced them with Assurance TripleTred. I've been happy with the Goodyears.
