Inventory Reduction Or End Of The Year

Ok guys, I am banking on owning an 04 marauder on my birthday at the end of september which is also dealers time for inventory reduction but, I am curious to know is there a big difference between the inventory reduction in september and the end of the year sales in December?

I don't know the answer to your question, however the reason I'm chiming in here is to make sure that you know the production of Marauders will end in June. So after June, you won't be able to order one anymore. The end of the Marauder as far as new cars go.

I DO realize that you game plan is to buy one off someone's lot anyway, but I just wanted to make sure that you're aware of the fact that after June, that will be your ONLY option.

For the first time in 18 months our local Mercury dealer does not have any Marauders in stock. And due to poor sales they're not getting anymore either. So the longer you wait, the more likely your chances you might not find a new one. Just my opinion.

If you really want a new Marauder IMO the time to buy is now. When dealer inventory runs low they may be looking for a premium price. Supply and demand. As we all know there will be no 2005 Marauder. :(

The closing date for any dealer to ORDER a Marauder was Mar. 31st, 2004. If it's not on the lot or ordered now, it will not be built. IMHO, you should check ALL local dealers inventory to get an idea of what will be available in the future. I know of three who don't have any and didn't order any. As soon as the word gets out generally, there will be supply and demand problem..could go the other way---with the Marauder, you never know. Hey, I didn't know that! I heard that it was June of this year that the dealers had to oder new Marauders. Perhaps I heard wrong.

I bought my 2003 Marauder in the fall of last year for less than $26K. Certainly, if you wait it will save you a couple of grand. However, as someone else said I would check on inventory levels in your area to determine if there will be any left at the end of the year. A couple of dealers in Chicagoland have 20 plus Marauders on the lot, so I am confident there will be some come September around here and even more in the Detroit area.

However, if you are not willing to go out of state to buy one and inventory levels in Texas are low, I would pull the trigger as soon as possible.
