I have a beater MM I bought last year that I'm finally getting around to repairing.
Very puzzling issue going on I can't seem to figure out.

The drivers door is the only door that will turn the interior lights on when it opens. And when it shuts, the lights stay on until the factory timeout turns them off.
I have lubricated all door latches to no avail.

There was however, an alarm wired it an one point. I found 2 wires in the lcm that were wired together via a resistor, but removed it and restored it to stock.

Still no good.

Any ideas?

Sounds like you might need to unplug each switch at the door for the dome light until you find the one that makes the lights work properly. If the driver's door turns them on I'd say its working properly and you have 3 others left to diagnose. I would also check the wiring going to the jamb to make sure there are no broken wires.

Does it do the same when you hit the unlock button on the remote? Is there a plunger switch that activates the lights when the door is opened?

Good question.
There is no fob with this car.
But I did press the unlock button, and the lights did NOT come on

I believe there is a switch on each door lock (inside the door). Disconnect them and reconnect 1 at a time to see which one is bad. You might be able to clean them.

Note sure if this helps any.

Door Trigger: DARK BLUE (-) and BLACK/ORANGE (-) Use both @LCM (Note 5)
Note 5: when connecting to an ALARM SYSTEM, use both DOOR TRIGGER wires and
DIODE ISOLATE, to connect.

Domelight Supervision: BLACK/LIGHT BLUE (+) @LCM

That's exactly what was done. It was a diode now that I think of it
