Anyone ever attempt to custom make a billet grille for the MM??? Or any other type like mesh etc... I wanted to throw that out there and see what you guys think.

There have been all kinds of different custom grilles made over the years. Some look good, some... not so good... Everyone has their own opinion.
These are some examples of the various kinds:

My friend made one with chicken wire. Looks like a floating emblem. It's pretty cool. I still think factory or badgeless are the cleanest.

Anyone else remember the badgeless one Zack made with about a million tiny crystals in the bars? It was amazing in the sunlight...

As the owner of a mesh grille, I'll pass along two things I have noticed: (1) it dents really easily - from rocks, bugs, etc., unless really heavy mesh is used; and (2) it makes a really excellent bug strainer, and requires frequent touch ups.

IMHO if you must change the OEM grille the badgeless is the most tolerable. I like the OEM style with the godshead badge not the dopey one Mercury used.
