Stock Pistons?

I bought a 2003 MM with a spun rod bearing. I have it pulled apart and the pistons have press in pins with wire retainers. The shop manual and Fordparts.com all say it is a floating piston design. Anyone run into this before? I don't like differences like this when I am trying to make sure I get the correct replacement parts.

I'm pretty sure when I pulled my old block it had press in wrist pins, I'll try to remember and check on Monday

Even with pressed in pins you want some type of mechanical locking mechanism so the pins don't back out.
