What Kinda Car? & Thumbs Up

Saturday afternoon I am filling up at a large gas station, 8 pump islands.
A pickup pulls up to the other side of the pump island.

A senior citizen enthusiastic steps out and ask me "What kind of car is that, I have never seen one before!".

On Sunday morning I am parked in the parking lot of a grocery store. A twenty year old in a 2 door Acura pulls into the lot and circles me with a thumbs up!

There is something about that Mercury Marauder......:banana2:

Sounds like a normal errand run around here. Only difference being most actually know what it is I've noticed in the last few years. Maybe all the advertising finally kicked in...

Reminds me of the song by Willie and the gang----....." road goes on forever and the party never ends....",, is exactly what it is--As a original owner like so many here as well we all have heard this many times --and it never gets old but rather kinda sends that " oh yeah" up thru your body ---and "take that " to all those newer cars that are like popcorn--just about everywhere and nobody says anything about them at gas stops---because we all see it --must pixxxx them off when they show up the same time cause I have seem them turn their heads with that look of " thinking whats wrong with mind yall?

What cracks me up the most is when people here think I'm part of some American government agency like the CIA, FBI or NSA... it happens a lot.

In a grocery store parking lot a lady asked if I were a policeman and I said no, she replied liar!

After Hurricane Katrina there were a number of road blocks. My business partner noticed they kept waiving us thru. He said they must think we are spooks.

I found out several weeks latter that several of the different sheriffs drove Marauders.
