Im finally going to drop off my car tomorrow morning to have the SPC Camber bolts installed and aligned to carfixer specs. Can someone point me in the right direction of the camber bolt instructions? It seems like I remember something about some grinding needed during install. Thanks in advance.

Really looking for a DIY with pics so I can give it to my front end shop to make sure he installs them correctly.

It's pretty straight forward, I did it with a dremel on one side then that died. Then used a drill and a step bit and a hand file. Would have loved a die grinder though.

Yea, I saw that when I went in my shop yesterday. Goes to show how long I've had this kit just sitting on the shelf. Why are you yelling Zack attack? Lol

Mine and my buddies schedule conflict and I'm over doing work like this on my back. Using a lift has spoiled me. Shop is only charging me $110 for install and alignment(carfixer specs)

Was probably slightly most costly than just the bolts.

Sorry for the thread bump but this sort of applies.
Lowered car, SPC camber bolts, Carfixer's specs should still be good, right?

Q: Is Zack selling these bolts? So, help me out here: do I 1) cut the flags off the stock bolts so they can be adjusted, or 2) cut the flags off the stock bolts so that they can be removed and replaced with these?

The way I read it just cutting off the flags would work. Don't care either way. I think a die grinder will work better than an sir chisel, so was going to go that route.

Thanks for any info.

Zack sells head cooling mod fittings when he has them.

The SPC bolts should not be needed, UNLESS you have a lowered front suspension from custom coils or coilovers or cut stock springs. Removing the alignment flags should allow enough adjustment for stock height Marauders.

That is not exactly true. I have a stock Marauder and it needs the modification done. There is not enough adjustment to make it to carfixers specs. The best thing to do is have a good shop check it out before doing the mod. If there is enough adjustment room then do not do the mod.

removing the alignment flags should give you the adj. needed in most cases for stock height set ups.

You are correct that in most cases that is true. But in mine the flags are removed and there is still not enough to meet the spec.

Ahh, ok..didn't know if the flags had been removed yet on your car with this issue.

Good deal, thanks for the clarification. I'm due for new tires and alignment and will cut off the flags and take it in and see what can be done.

My only beef at this point is that the alignment guy should have let me know last time that he couldn't get the alignment to Carfixer's specs, rather than implying he did with the stock setup, then letting my inside tread get burned off in 23k miles.

It's like pulling teeth to get these guys to listen to you sometimes.

Thanks again.

That is why you should take it to a shop that knows what it is doing and will listen to you. If I have to explain it more than once I just go somewhere else. But be ready for them to tell you that they cannot guarantee the alignment. I hear that all the time and tell them to go ahead and do it. Have had no problems yet.

I keep a printout handy of Carfixers specs and the reasoning behind using them to hand to the tech. Never had a problem. If you tell them why you want it done you usually have no problem.

Yeah, that's what I did last time; the guy looked at Carfixer's post, said it wasn't stock and he couldn't guarantee it, ;-) but that he would do it. He was selling me the Nittos at the same time, and seemed cool with it. Obviously something went wrong.

The right side actually looks passable, I think I could get another 3K or so on that tire, but the left front is toast.

The rears look great really, considering. At least another 2/32nds to the tread depth indicators. If I wasn't used to always replacing all 4 at the same time, I could just replace the fronts and be good for a while.
