for those with chips or flash's, when you start the car at idle when it is cold, it used to idle up to 1,000 rpm's or more while it warmed up... now with the chip or flash, at least for me, the idle does not rise while it is cold, it just stays there at 700 rpm's... does anyone else have the higher idle rpm warm up still? or do we lose this with ANY chip...

Daren most people do not want that fast idle on start up, so Jerry has addressed this issue. Are you saying you prefer the car idle at 1000RPM

Mine still goes through the normal warmup motions, but Jerry has modified and tweeked my tune program so many times...he may have asked me at one point or another???

June 18th he'll be back in town, come up and get it adjusted, likely n/c!

After my initial flash with the SCT tuner mine would idle around 600 - 700 right after start up. Since I got my tuner back from Dennis (with the revision in the programming to correct for the mild ping issue) I've noticed that it's back to idling at about 1000 RPM when cold. I'm fine with this, though. All of my recent Ford vehicles have done this when cold, so I'm used to it. :)

I have a reflash that Dennis did in 03', from a cold start it surges to 2000 rpm's then drops to a 1000 rpm's; it settles there for about 30-45 seconds then it drops to 800 rpm's this is all in Park. I don't perform any warm-up just drive away.

The Rpm's in drive are about 650. The reflash has been a tremendous improvement over the original program.
