Ok, so all of my car audio stuff (Sony CDX-M800, badass) finally got here this morning and I jumped right into getting it i nthe car. There are three wiring harnesses there, a large one, a medium one and a small one.I HAVE ALL ADAPTERS NEEDED TO INSTALL THIS. I wired the aftermarket harness to the adapter I got from crutchfield. All the speakers and headunit works just dandy ( such a good looking head unit) I also got a sub adapter the thing is TWO adapters cam in the one for the wub unit. This package had one small adapter and one medium adapter. wtf mate? TO make things even better the small ( sub) adapter will not fit into the factory harness, its the right size but has a small ridge on it that prevents it from succeswfully mating with the after market one. ANYONE who has replaced their head unit and kept the stock amp please show me the proverbial light. O and wtf is the medium size adapter for? Im guessing steering wheel or cd-changer control.help!

The small 4 pin adapter does not fit the MM. They assumed it was the same as other ford products but it isn't. The 4 wires are: ground, remote turn on, pos signal & neg signal. I stripped the factory 4 pin harness and used connectors for the remote turn on to the remote turn on in the other harness as well as ground to the same ground in the harness adapter. I stripped 2 RCA plugs and connected both negatives together as well as the positives too. I then connected the negatives from the RCAs to the negative in the 4 wire setup and the positives to the positive of the 4 wire setup. I tried a 2 volt radio and the rear sub volume was low. I switched it to 4 volt and it jams. I actually get thump. Do a search under name or clarion, radio etc.

Got your PM, glad to see that it all worked out and that you are jamming now !! The headunit made a HUGE difference on my set up. LOUDER & CLEARER sound.
