I have had a set of Kensun LED headlights for a while now, and I don't think they compare favorably with the 35 Watt HID's in my '01 Crown Vic. Neither car has projectors; I am only comparing brightness on the road. It may be going retrograde, but I've been thinking about installing a spare set of 55 Watt 6000K HID's that I have. :violin:

My only concern is: where in the heck do you find room on a MM ('03, 300A) to put the ballasts? I had room on the Crown Vic, but the radiator support setup is not the same on the two cars. Admittedly that area is a bit more crowded on my car because of the heavy-duty headlight harnesses with relays that GoldPanther made for me. Could someone please post pictures of what you did? :help:

In the C Channel of the front bumper. I have six in there. From the rear they're out of direct contact with water and can't be seen.

Three more questions: 1) Do you have any pics to share? 2) How did you get access? 3) I imagine you had to lengthen all the wires from the ballasts?

Thanks! :help:

Drive up ramps or jack and support. Pics here. Also you can lengthen the power wires but not the high voltage leads to the HID bulbs.

Plenty of space for slim ballasts to tuck in there IMO.

Mine are mounted in the same place. I extended both the power & high voltage leads.... been working fine for over 5 or 6 years.

I completely forgot I did a harness for you lol

I have my external harness with connector adapters I made to fit ballast and the ballast all tucked in under the hood plastic cover. The ballast I put them with the bracket hanging from the leveling screw of the headlamp. I must mention that I retrofitted moritomo projectors, I'm running 55w opt7 slim ballast and 6000k bulbs. I have the best lighting possible. :D
