So my headlights turn on, but they are kind of dim. When I turn the brights on, they get even more dim. Any ideas as to what it is? And now my dash doesn't light up and the gauge cluster doesn't even work. Bad fuse maybe? Anyone have these issues before. I feel the headlight issue is the LCM, which hasn't been changed yet, but just wanted second opinions

Weak battery, weak alternator ... go have them tested. That is my best guess.

these cars act very strange when volts to low. what is your volts by a volt meter, not the gauge, when off and when idling?

what gdsqdcr said ^^^, plus bad/corroded battery connections or bad ground.

What they all said....
Go to any FLAPS and ask them to check your battery and alternator.
If those are good, check the following:
The battery terminals - they should be clean and tight
The connection from the + battery terminal to the power distribution box, and to the alternator - again clean and tight
Check all the grounds - you know the drill... clean and tight
Last - check the connectors at the back of the headlights to the bulbs..... you guessed it... clean and tight

So y'all are saying he headlight and gauge cluster could be not enough voltage?

Could bad bearings in the alternator cause it?

OK. Let's put 2 and 2 together...... Your having electrical issues and your alternator is on it's way out........ What do YOU think it is?

Just wanting to make sure. I have a set of new bearings for the alternator that should be here in a week or two. Hope that fixes it

Chances are that bearings alone won't fix it, I would suggest replacing the entire unit, as it is probably not producing volts or amps.....or both.

I highly doubt bearings will cause the voltage to be low. Don't bother replacing them unless it's noisy.
Have a friend/neighbour/relative/fellow military at the base hobby shop from whom you can borrow a voltmeter?

If by bearings he means the clutch pulley...it is possible. The clutches go bad frequently on the taxi's at work, and make a similar sound.

Check all grounds.
