Hey guys, I broke some Ignition coil clips while changing them, (fixed the shudder/choke at low rpm..yay). I broke 2 and had to MacGyver them with zip ties. I remember somebody saying something about Granetelli Connectors. Or if somebody knows where to get original motor craft ones Ill take em. Thanks, appreciate it.

Granetelli connectors go in the other end, they replace the ball point pen springs with heavy duty wire.

Don't know if replacement clips are available. You might need to take a trip to the recycle yard.

Well after seeing this thread I finally ordered some for mine that broke. Like seven years ago..

Thanks for the leg work Jim! One less thing I don't need to do...

Just use a cable tie around the coil and clip

You will need to solder and heat shrink tube them. If you use butt connectors you'll have problems down the road.

Did this for now but afraid the heat will take its toll later on. Gonna solder the ones FBM found.

You don't have to solder anything.
Simply unpin your factory connector, unpin the new connector, then re-install the factory wires into the new connector.

Thanks for posting this just bought some myself! Have a couple broken ones also. No problems with the car, will just have them to install one day when the motor's apart.

Are you saying to remove the wires from factory connector and then put them back into the new connector.

That is correct. Absolutely no need to cut any wires

That would be the quickest / easiest way to do it.
