Hey all...

Looking for a good condition, preferably painted black, Marauder header panel.

Would love to get one with decent black paint, but I am willing to repaint one if needed.

Not interested in broken or cracked ones. Thanks!

Marquis one is the same. Check your local junkyard.

Thanks everyone! Wasn't sure they were the same... That's a relief

I'm guessing there's no Marquis that will have black paint anything like a Marauders?

Just to be clear the CV is different, so don't get one of those.

Ahhhh okay. Well maybe I'll get lucky with a black one.

Sounds goo though! 03-05 Grand Marquis. Here's hoping there's a few hanging out by me in scrap yards.

If all else fails, tascaparts still sells them...$320.

I bought mine from them and had it painted locally...

I looked for 30 days, ended up finding one thru these guys here on mm.net

I just found 1 the other day. RED NO CRACKS took a year to find one not messed up at the junk yard, and i go twice a week.

Good luck finding a used one, they beat the crud out of the cars getting them to the yards, here at least.

Some of the yards have their own website and you can register with them Then you put make model and year and when they get one on their lot they shoot you an email with images.

I was hoping someone would chime in with a parts car that had one still haha.

But yeah, I noticed Tasca has them still worst case scenario.

A few Grand Marquis at the yards around here but the only question is if they are newer then 2003 or not really...

For example, I received an email on an 04 MGM LS on Thursday, today went and got an extra header panel because the OEM I have has a small crack. And all was $25.00.

Oh also, I always show courtesy for the next guy looking for that part. Not like vandals that just :censor: things up for the next guy. That :mad2: me off.

All the aftermarket header panels that I've seen have very uneven surfaces...very wavey, and don't fit like OEM.

Those are called SORTA FIT from CERTAFIT. im sure they will tell you they fit fine.

i bought a sorta fit, it was off 1/2 inch.

Buddy of mine bought one for a crown vic sport on line from guarantee to fit, yeah right, we had to pull the mounting pins out to line it up, and it came in a box mashed up.... bought a new fender twice and it was dented to F.

Buy OEM no fitment worries been there, done that. Giving free advice
