TACH - stops working ??

My Tach stops working and only works part time .
Is this a common problem with the Marauder ?
What is the issue with them .

I just swapped clusters because mine was intermittent. Now the new cluster is starting to do it, but not as frequent as the old. I checked my wiring and found nothing loose or off but I haven't tracked all the way to the PCM yet.

I'll take a crack at fixing it if someone will send me their inop tach or cluster to work on. I'd do mine but it works..... :D

I was going to try to match the stepper motor with another Ford unit on my next trip to the U pull yard. If you want to tackle it, I'll mail you my tach unit.
