Hello! This car is better than I imagined. I bought it April 14th, and just put 1600 miles on it over Memorial Day weekend. What a ride! Already have a stop light and parking lot race under my belt. It's an '03 and had 18 miles on it when I got it...had my I on it since October. Nobody in my area knows what it is and I think thats why it didn't sell...this was good for me. Black with 300A package.
Mods will be few and less expensive for now, but sure enjoy reading all of yours. Thanks. Blake.
Welcome aboard Blake!
Whether you mod or not, it's up to you...but most importantly...enjoy the most unique driving experience available right now.

Welcome to the net--Your fun has just begun and you won't be able to wipe the smile off your face for many thousand miles. There is a lot of knowledge in the forums and a great group of people make up our fraternity. It's kinda a family place--we celebrate birthdays, anniversarys, marriages, new babies, pets and oh yes , MARAUDERS.I have 25,000 miles on mine now and have enjoyed every one of them. Feel free to post often, ask questions (there is no such thing as a stupid question here) and enjoy the friendships that you will develop--even though you may be in a small town in IOWA (one of my favorite states), you have the whole country at your fingertips for anything you need. Soooo, welcome, enjoy and post often. Oh yes, tonite was chat nite--every Wed. from 7:30 EDT til ???? Just click on chat and follow the instructions. Spent many happy hours at Blakesburg at Antique Airfield with the Antique Airplane Assoc. group and have connections to SAC Headquarters at Offut. Look forward to hearing more from you, Maury

By the number of new buyers posting here lately, Marauder sales must be brisk all of a sudden

If FORD announced they were not building anymore Ranger pickups after July 1, 2004......... sales would become rather brisk on them too I imagine.

Wait a minute! This guy's from Iowa? Hey doesn't that....
Aw shucks, who really cares! I say we let the guy in the club anyways. After all he bought a Marauder, so he couldn't be all that bad.
Request to come aboard is approved, without objection.

It's much better in the movie "Freaks" (1932) but my heart's in the right place :)

Welcome and Blake and don't let this fellows give you a hard time. You just need to pass the initiation test and give each member a one time fee of $20 when you meet them. J/K
Where in eastern Iowa are you I have family in Independence.
Howdy, Blake. Don't worry about not having a big budget for mods right now. Some of the most important mods you can do can be done for a lot less than you might think. I have had my car for about a year and a half, and you can see the mods I have done in my signature. I have about $1,000.00 or less in mods, and it makes a noticeable difference.

Iowa, isn't that between Idaho and Ohio?
Friend of mine had a T-Shirt made that said: "University of Iowa at Idaho" and nobody knew the difference.

Live in Winthrop and work in Independence. My job has me travel the east side of Iowa. I did see a black Marauder in Waverly awhile ago...it looked like it had red inserts (or painted red) on the back bumper. Was it yours Duhtroll?
Thanks to all for the welcomes.

No, that would be Jason's - jwheeler on the site here. I don't know if he reads this board much anymore. Let me know when you're in the area and we can meet up sometime.
There is also another MM owner (not sure if he still has his though) on site here from CF - his name is John and his handle is TooManyFords.
Feel free to look us up when you're around.
Thanks,

I just bought my MM yesterday. '04 Silver, and it is great. I really enjoy the tight suspension and the generous torque. I drove a Crown Vic for the past five years, and although I liked that car a lot, the MM is definitely a good performance vehicle. I just hope that I don't experience some of the problems other owners in this forum claim to have had because my experience with the CV has been very good. Great quality for the money, and I expect the same from the MM, as it shares the same basic platform.

Welcome to this excellent site stormtroopin, from a fellow Midwesterner from Wisconsin. The Marauder is certainly a most special car--still getting used to mine, have had it about and month and a half. And a hello also to you hbarrett, have fun and enjoy these cars 'cause they're not making any more!

I'm originally from Cedar Falls as well, now in KCMO. Decided to register on the site when I saw this thread, good to know Iowa is being represented. I do get back to CF fairly often, coming up for the Sturgis Falls Celebration. Unfortunately I'll be driving the convertible up that weekend, got parade duty again this year. We're heading to drag strip after the parade......interested?

'03 300A is the best! 25K on it after a year and lovin' every mile of it!
Have I said "I love this Car" lately? I LOVE this Car!!

Sturgis Falls Celebration is June 25 through 27. Shoot me an email or something, let me know how the exhaust install is going, we can figure out where to meet up. If nothing else, I'll be the guy in the parade Saturday morning driving the '00 Silver Mustang GT convertible. After the parade a few of us were thinking about going to CF Raceway, they have a bracket race set up for that afternoon, it woulld be gret to have you.

Welp, since I never raced before I'm not sure a bracket race is where I want to start, but John (TooManyFords) says he's up for it, and I can show up too. Lets us know when and where you want to meet and then we can see how many others want to show. Once I get the details I can make an official "come one come all" thread.
Thanks,
