How many square feet do you need for the interior of the car vs the trunk? Just the floor. Not doors or anything. It's for road noise, not stereo.
Thx

I used 200ft for my trunk and front doors. If you completely cover all the seams and just do the floors, 75-85ft will do.

^^^What he says^^^
He knows what he is talking about. If doing the floor (for road noise) I would do the doors as well.
And My kidney stones were cured after listening to just one song in your bank vault quiet ride too.
I really want you to do my stereo one day.

I bought two of these Tom and it got me from half way up the firewall to just behind the front seats, door to door.
I removed all the ratty insulation on the outer firewall plus adding headers I was hearing a small bit of exhaust renascence in the cabin. This took care of that and the added heat.
To do all the floor even under the rear seat I think three rolls would be cutting it very close.

If you have nothing useful to write, don't bother. It's more than just length x width Chief.
To the rest of you, thanks! I will place my order for Noico 80 mil today. It seems like a good deal.

What kind did you use and how much sqft is in a roll of it?
You used it on the outside next to the headers?
I don't really have any sound issues that bother me much. I am installing new carpet and figure I might as well sound proof it too.

That's the equation to sq ft and the answer to the question, and there's nothing else to it. If you wa Ted to fill the car with sound deadener then you would be asking for cubic ft. And no I'm not a chief as your probably not a squaw.

My bad, I forgot to add the link. And no, I ripped off the factory stuff on the outside, and installed all this on the inside.
This was .0625 to the .08 (80 mil converted) that your ordering. About 1/32" less basically. I felt the stuff I used was overkill myself. So yours will definitely be fine.

did it do a good job of reducing noise? I'm now just losing enough of my hearing that it is getting hard to hear others in the car with the drone of the mufflers. I really don't want to change mufflers. I actually noticed the car got a bit quieter with the recent tint job (I know, sounds crazy, but it did). I'm assuming putting this stuff on the floor and in the doors made a big difference.

I didn't even do the doors or backseat area and it's was a HUGE improvement.

There are peaks and valleys and overlap/waste. So your answer was ridiculously simplistic. Dumpsters for the homes I build are filled with waste. Get the idea?

tbone, if you haven't ordered already I would highly suggest this:

I have done 50+ cars with it, great stuff and they have products for different applications as well!
