Foglight redux

My dealer sucks. Took Marauder in for the LCM bypass mod (see that thread). Also asked them to replace the left foglight bulb but put a $ limit on the work.

Somewhere along the line a failure to communicate occurred. They did nothing saying the part was $220. I can only assume they thought I wanted the whole assembly replaced.

I vaguely remember doing something with the fog lights in the past. So I checked the bulb myself. Easy to remove.

But now I am confused. What is the stock bulb wattage? I see a lot of 55w for sale. Mine is 70w. Did I replace it in the past?

Any decent price recommendations? Stopped at Autozone and was staggered by the $56 price for a pair of Sylvania something.

I believe you are correct. The OEM foglight bulb is an H1 at 55 watts.

You may have put in a higher watt bulb yourself at some point.

you can buy a pair of the same fog lights on ebay for $120ish. exactly the same

If I recall correctly the foglites are the same as the Mazda MPV ones. Assume similar years.

You can get the H1 bulb at any FLAPS or Sally World. It will be the correct wattage.

Yes, the 01-02 Mazda Miata fog lights are interchangeable.

I also believe the 02-03 Mazda MPV fog lights are also interchangeable.
