Does the 4.6l DOHC have a code name like the 5.0l Coyote or the 5.2l Voodoo? :dunno: Teksid is a manufacturer so that's out as would be WAP at least for this query.:)

I believe they are known as Modulars, some say Intech

Modular seems to cover the entire family of engines. InTech is used in Lincoln culture, but not convinced it's a nickname, if it is it sucks. The 5.0l(Coyote) and 5.2l(Voodoo) are listed in the modular family as are the 5.4l, 5.8l and the V-10.
Doesn't look like or lowly 4.6l warranted a cool nickname.:(

I don't know if it qualifies, but I think the closest thing to a code name would be the term "Mach 1" for our engines.

That's the easiest way to tell the average Joe what it is...

I can suggest a name for the stock 4.6 liter: How about "Whimpy"
That is why I did a stroker kit with new heads. I now have a 5.4 liter which didn't embarrass me at the VIR a few years ago. We were at a SAAC weekend with the Shelby and Boss 302.
I drove down in the Marauder and took some track time with it. She lived up to her name.
