Hi Everyone Ive finally got my first Marauder (only took forever) in the way of a little project. So I am going over everything to making it a show stopper. Im working on the rear end and putting a 31 spline rear end with 3.73 gears. Im having a hard time chosing axle shafts for it. Id love to go with the Moser brand but Id like to stay a little budget friendly here. Id like to keep everything FRPP if possible. Other than the Moser I saw Motive Gear Ten Factory. Any recomendations would be great. The motor isnt going to be crazy, the plan is 5.0L stroker with an Eaton swap. I look forward to being part of this Marauder comminuty.

31 spline OEM Ford CV axles and 4.10 gears.

A Trac Loc would be good too. :burnout:

I've blown up a number of trac-locs, auburns, and other friction type lockers in my various Fords. I went Quaife in my high-hp Kellison and now would never have anything else; when the Marauder's time comes...it's getting a quaife. The difference between the friction locker and the quaife on corner exit felt like the difference between 1wd and AWD. Simply amazing.

Thanks guys

yes a 31 spline trac loc is in the box and ready for install. Would 4.10s be better street wise than the 3.73s? Anyone have the part number for the CV axles off hand? If not I'll look them up.

Since the car already has 3.55s (assuming it's stock) going to 3.73 is not worth the expense and effort. Go 4.10 or go home. :D

Even with future plans of adding a blower in the near (year) future?

And 3rd at 115! Like you said, throttle management! I just choose to manage it less than most peeps. [emoji6]

Throttle control can be easily adjusted by adding a stiffer ( really stiff) return spring. I do this on every build, did one on a dirt track car and the driver said it was the best change that's ever been done to his car.

I don't think a stiffer spring will help if the driver is doing that deliberately. [emoji41]I certainly drove that way as a teenager, but at 71 I'm a lot more cautious because I'd like to see 72.[emoji40]
