Back in the day, I was on CV PI supply website that offered parts for the CVPI. One of the parts was a support that went behind the rear bumper cover to prevent sagging.
Anyone know who that company was?

I got a couple of them last year. Maybe old stock.

Pro Gard does not list them any longer. with cvpi being gone for 6 years. I doubt they still will offer them. I have a brand new one in original box. I want to modify it as I don't like how it mounts under the bumper cover and can see the edge of it.

I think the Pro Guard only prevented rear bumper aerodynamic drag and ballooning during high speed (police pursuit). I have one and it was not designed to support the drooping outer edges of the rear bumper cover. It is strictly an aerodynamic advantage IMO. It would be chimp-simple to make your own if you had somebody trace theirs onto paper and transfer it to a sheet of ABS.

pro Gard really only helps prevent it, but won't fix an already sagged cover

My question is, where did ford go wrong and why do they sag in the first place

Quoted for truth.
Didn't it also prevent ripping off the bumper when driving thru the median?
