So it was time for my 216,000 mile oil change. Car has been running a little sluggish, and the serpentine belt was noisy. I've been having a problem with the battery light coming on when I slow down while my lights were on.

So I replaced the belt tensioner and the belt with OEM products. I also replaced the fuel filter. Big improvement on power.

Also replaced a leaking power steering pressure hose.(Sunsong 3401356 Power Steering Pressure Hose Assembly )
I've also had a problem with the connection at the Blower motor. I have to jiggle the connection occasionally for my air to work. We looked at the connection more closely, and determined the pig tail needed to be replaced because it was burnt. Ford makes part WT-56853, which is a harness with 2 sides. Only 1 side fits the car. So we had to splice the new end in.
Air conditioning is working perfectly.

There is an adapter cable for the blower motor. The dealer should be able to get it, but I guess you don't need it since your wires are spliced.

This is that harness, WT-56853. Title says WT56853 Motorcraft - Fuel Pump Jumper Harness Kit (http://www.ebay.com/itm/WT56853-Motorcraft-Fuel-Pump-Jumper-Harness-Kit-/311605174511?epid=230014144&hash=item488d1da0ef:g:G-0AAOSwfXBZrGCz&vxp=mtr)
It only fits the side of the blower. The other pigtail doesn't fit.

I change my oil every 3000-5000 miles. I'm adding an additional 1 - 1.5 quarts of oil during that time frame.

Change every 3k, it's worth it!

It's apparently the wrong adapter. When my blower motor was replaced under warranty the dealer installed an adapter cable which plugs in to the motor on one end and the wiring harness on the other end. No splicing required.
